Price wise, this is a lot cheaper than getting another brand of LiPo battery for my motorcycle. LiPo batteriers are great – they are very light,-they have high cranking amperage- they can be more compact than your original battery…until they start to get some age on them. I got this battery to replace a much more expensive LiPo battery that I have been using in my motorcycle. I didn’t put that many miles on it over the last 2.5 to 3 years, but on doing the maintenance on my bike I noticed that the battery case had begun to swell (second photo) I tested it with my digital battery checker, and the CCA (cold cranking amps) had decreased from 350 to about 160 CCA. It was still enough to crack the engine, but with it starting to swell, I decided it was time to get it out of the bike before it could cause problems. I didn’t want to spend the amount of money I had to shell out for the first one (AG batteries brand), and I decided to try this one being reviewed here. It is listed as a direct replacement for the original battery that came in the bike. However, it would not fit in my bike in that configuration (3 spacer plates attached to the bottom of the battery. The problem is that the battery doesn’t have a dropped down space between the terminals like the original lead acid battery nor the AG battery. No problem. I removed a spacer plate and it would just fit with the battery clamp in place. I decided to remove another spacer and that allowed me to use a piece of foam in the bottom of the battery box to get the spacing just right – it now fits perfect!. Before I put it in, I tested it with my digital battery tester, and as you can see from the screen shot, it produces more than the claimed 360 CCAs! We shall see how long this one lasts, as I am now going to periodically check for any signs of swelling or loss of CCA capacity. Overall, I am very pleased with this baterry so far!
