Ampxell is committed to providing the world with cleaner, more responsible energy storage solutions. Our core commitment is to produce our batteries using ​no cobalt, rare earth elements, or conflict minerals.

​​Our core technology​​ is primarily based on ​​lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄)​​ technology, and in select applications, ​​lithium titanate (LTO)​​ technology. These batteries are made of:

• Lithium.
• Carbon from coal ash.
• Iron, aluminum, nickel, and phosphates.

Why cobalt-free? ​​
While cobalt is commonly used to make lithium batteries smaller and more energy dense, it is a rare earth element and is ​​primarily concentrated in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Central Africa). ​​ As demand for cobalt surges, its price increase has exacerbated unrest in the region. Unfortunately, the benefits of cobalt mining are often associated with serious issues such as financing civil wars, terrorism, and human rights violations. Ampxell is determined to exclude cobalt and its negative impacts from our batteries and supply chain, choosing a more ethical material path.

• ​​Responsible Recycling:​​ When Ampxell lithium batteries eventually reach the end of their lifespan, we ensure that they are effectively recycled through professional cooperative recycling facilities to achieve resource recycling.
